The Animal Welfare Society is excited to be working with Danie Connolly of Absolutely Perfect on the 2009 Norman Rockwell Festival. All events take place at the Town Hall in Kennebunk during the weekend of August 14, 15, and 16. The Art Exhibit opens at the Welcome Reception on Friday night. At 7:30pm on Friday watch the movie “The Norman Rockwell Code” a spoof on “The Divinci Code”. Admission is free. Saturday the Exhibit Continues and there is an AWS Craft/Bakesale in front of the Town Hall from 11:00am – 2:00pm. On Saturday night see original plays based on Rockwell's work. Tickets are $25.00. The Animal Welfare Society will have a concession stand with homemade baked goods and drinks. The weekend concludes with a Turkey Dinner on Sunday at 2:00pm based on Rockwell’s "Freedom from Want" painting. Tickets for the dinner are $10.00 with all proceeds to benefit AWS.
