Hope, Maine—Stillwater Farm Animal Boarding has recently expanded its services to include full grooming with the promotion of Jen Marble from Kennel Assistant to Groomer.

"Stillwater Farm's mission has always been to provide the best care for pets," says co-owner Greg Harrison, "and this is another way we can better serve the needs of our pet-owning community." How-ever, Mr. Harrison is quick to point out that he was not willing to expand into grooming services with just any groomer. "It was important to us to find a groomer who shared our vision of pet care before we offered these services to our clientele. With Ms. Marble we are able to offer a grooming shop envi-ronment that meshes with our aim of providing pet care services that are as stress-free as possible. We are able to groom with only one dog in the grooming room at a time, and we are also afforded the luxury of being able to work on a dog in multiple short sessions over a longer period of time with our boarding guests. Our philosophy of 'individualized, one-on-one care' that we implement with our boarding services also translates well into our new grooming services."

Groomer Jen Marble was new to the animal care industry when she joined Stillwater Farm Animal Boarding in August of 2008, but quickly became enamored with the job. As a Kennel Assistant, Jen learned the ins and outs of animal care and wanted to be able to provide more care for animals board-ing at Stillwater Farm. Grooming was a natural outlet for that desire. She enrolled in grooming courses and was quickly ready to begin grooming some of Stillwater Farm's regular clients. That short trial period proved successful and Stillwater Farm is now ready to offer grooming services to the community at large.

Co-owners Greg and Kim Harrison are natives of Ellicott City, Maryland and have owned Stillwater Farm Animal Boarding since 2005. Greg and Kim are active members of the Pet Care Services Asso-ciation, the largest trade organization for the Pet Care Industry and Greg is a Certified Pet Care Technician.
