The Rescue Party Tour is coming to Belfast to create a vibrant atmosphere for the local animal community. The Rescue Party Tour will feature Tom McPhee's An American Opera: The Greatest Pet Rescue Ever! which takes place In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina's devastation, when the United States of America suffered the worst domestic animal crisis in its history. Tens of thousands of house pets were left to die in neighborhoods all across the region as owners were forced to evacuate without their pets. City officials, rescuers and adopters of animals worked through the devastation only to discover that not everyone was working toward the same goal.

“An American Opera: The Greatest Pet Rescue Ever!" is an extraordinary look at a city in chaos and the volunteers who came from all over the world to help restore order. Trailers are available at www.anamericanopera.com The filmmaker, Tom McPhee, will also be in attendance to lead a discussion of the film and his experiences in New Orleans. He is excited to meet others who also volunteered during Hurricane Katrina.

"This film is both heartbreaking and inspiring... Perhaps the biggest legacy this film will leave is the need to make a difference it imparts to those who view it." —FilmGuru.net
