Attention Maine shelters, ACOs, rescues and dog lovers!

A training opportunity is coming up that YOU don’t want to miss!

The ASPCA SAFER dog evaluation certification course is coming to Maine!

Yes, you heard right- SAFER, the widely recognized and accepted dog evaluation tool, will be held in

Orono at the Black Bear Inn on Wednesday, August 12th and Thursday, August 13th.

The SAFER training is done in pairs, so please consider sending at least two people. To help you do that, the Maine Federation of Humane Societies is offering some 2 for 1 scholarships. If you pay to send one person, Maine Fed could pick up the registration cost for the second! Contact me with interest in scholarships. Get your name in early!

Sign up today as spaces are going to go quickly and you do NOT want to miss out on this opportunity!

To sign up, register online.

Keep in mind that if we’re all doing SAFER evaluations, we could move hard-to-adopt dogs around the state and hopefully find loving homes for even more dogs than we do now!
